It’s funny how I had accidentally stumbled upon Zoe's Kitchen a few months ago then got this offer. I mean that in a good way of course. You see, the husband and I were out and I noticed a restaurant in the shopping center that was new and different that I hadn’t tried before. I didn’t want “fast food”, but something more cafe style or homemade style. So I walked in, didn’t pay attention to the name of the restaurant and tried this new place out for the first time and fell in love. Since we don’t eat out often I hadn’t had a chance to return back again. Once I was invited to try out the restaurant again, I looked it up to ensure there was one near me and realized it was the place I had fell in love with! So I became super excited.
So this go round I picked a few things to try out, which works since my husband is a picky eater and doesn’t care for this style food. Hey, more for me! So this time here’s what I tried:
Chicken Salad Sandwich Value: $7.19
Roasted Vegetables (my side with the sandwich)
Greek Chicken Pita Value: $7.59
Side of Fresh Fruit
Veggie Kabobs Value: $8.79
Side of White Beans
Side of Greek Salad
Limeade Value: $2.29
I have to admit, everything was delicious!! What I love is the fresh taste to it. There were no wilted or brown lettuce. Same goes with the fruit. Everything was clearly fresh. It showed in appearance as well as in the way it tasted. The customer service was great too! While I did have a short wait for my food, it wasn’t long and everything was served hot (if it was supposed to be hot anyway). This was my 2nd experience with Zoe's Kitchen and I certainly do not expect it to be my last.
One thing I would recommend though is the company look into how they handle online gift cards. The manager had trouble processing my card and told me it’s a problem with EVERY online card they get. So it literally took around 5 minutes to complete my ordering because he basically had to make a new gift card or something then put in my order. He told me the online gift card, which I printed, then needs to get sent off to corporate. Basically, it’s a big mess and really inconvenient. So if the corporate people were unaware of this problem, maybe look into it. Of course, the guy was the Elmwood location, where I went, was nice about it and quite apologetic.
Needless to say, my experience was awesome. My only real complaint is that they do not deliver and I spent all of my gift card because as I’m finishing writing this I seriously have a craving for them. No, I’m not exaggerating on this either! So if you do have a chance to try out Zoës Kitchen, I would recommend it. They are a bit on the higher price point end, but it’s not seriously high and believe me, the price is worth it as you get a decent portion and fresh food!
